"Rapid breathing" suspected pneumonia. C sec baby so trying to trust judgmemnt of pediatrician who just took an xray and said it confirmed his suspicions. Hard for me to trust ppl who killed my sibs!!!

Praying for his healing, competent caring medical personnel and comfort to family during this time of concern.
Could be a number of things causing the rapid breathing. Sometimes just extra fluid in lungs that needs clearing. Especially with C-section babies and boys in particular. Praying he is Gods gentle perfect care. I speak from 40 years RN experience. Last 20 in NICU.
So sorry. Praying for the little guy right now. And congrats to you! I think all will be well.
Btw, do listen to your gut and question their every step. Nothing wrong with that. Even with the best intents, they are all human and mistakes can be made, so please be brave and verify everything. All the best!
My son has asked appropriate as and the nurse is offended that he asks!
Tough! Nurses kill people every day. This is his SON. He better man up and do what he needs to do to ensure his baby's safety.
Nurses also make mistakes. A big one is not listening to a new parent or not answering questions. Asking nicely but firmly can get you the information you need to understand what is happening. Prayers.
They're not used to thinkers. And they are not thinkers, themselves. They're obeyers.
Of course they want to start him on anti biotic and took him from mama. Again. Once they start all this they can create new issues. Thnx for prayers.

baby must have RSV .... needs an oxygen tent and a very attentive nurse to make certain the bed doesnt get too wet inside

Thanks y'all. I'm feeling lots better about it. Her TRUSTED OB GYN took a look and offered his opinion that it is a reasonable conclusion and course of action. They'll keep him for a ten day antibiotic but mama is being discharged Sat and hospital is an hour plus away so..prayer needed.I have the babies ! God is good.

Thank you all for your prayers! The pediatrician was "surprised" at Levi's improvement this morning. He had said before "ten days not negotiable" til he could be discharged, but now he said possibly Wednesday if this keeps up. Said his breathing is much better. His mama says he is nursing stronger as well. SO much good news, glory to God! My son said "GAW is praying for him? I love those guys! They're the Church I never met!" Thanks again!
Why won't the hospital let mama stay with baby? She's been discharged and only allowed from 7 to 7
