Anons - there is a life-threatening deep freeze coming in this week. Please prepare.

Starting on Thursday, the bitter blast of cold air will surge south and east. That will send temperatures tumbling from the southern Plains to the Southeast and Midwest.
Morning low temperatures in the teens and single digits are likely as far south as Oklahoma, Arkansas and Tennessee, according to the FOX Forecast Center, while temperatures will remain in the teens from central Texas to Georgia.
In fact, this may be the coldest air in at least five years in Mississippi.
And the cold air is expected to remain in these areas, with a high probability that below average temperatures will persist over much of the country's eastern half into next week.
Here in New England we call it 'winter'
Uh-huh. I don’t think you saw what was coming. Wind chills of -60 in some areas. Frostbite in 5 minutes. This shit doesn’t happen all the time.
I lived in North Dakota for 6 years. We went days in a row with -50 temps. It's fucking abhorrent.
Yes it does. Its a tad early but this is nothing for January. Those people seeing the deepest of the cold live with this every year.
This is not a new diabolical plot by the deep state or even that rare. The last one this big was 2014, and before that, 1989, 1985, 1982, 1977 (no wonder the global warming shtick seemed believable with that cluster) and many times before. The jet stream moves south and cold air is right behind it. Even sometimes in summer there can be a dip in the jet stream and a cooler spell.
2014? Bullshit.
Anyone remember the temps in Chicago the night Jussie smolletted? Well below zero. Day time below zero too. This is nothing. Its not even getting that cold. Six or seven years ago we had two or three cold waves hit where our nighttime temps were -30 and daytime -10 for 3 or 4 days in a row. I live in southeast Michigan.
You guys watch too much weather channel or something. Every completely normal weather event has to be fear mongered to maximum.
Would be a prime time for another assault on power substations. Praying it doesn't happen.
Some anons on the chans saying the same thing, "Dark Winter"
We've had 3 winters in the past 12 years with Temps in the -20 to -40 ranges for 1-2 weeks. You could make your own snow with a bowl of hot water thrown into the air. We moved in such weather in February 2019, it was awful. The wind, the cold. But somehow we got it done. Otherwise our Temps are generally not too bad, single.digits are common, windchill can make life miserable. (Northern IN)
I made frozen bubbles for the grandkids a few winters ago. Temps have to be below zero for it to work.
Ah yes. Those are fun too. Hope you stay warm and have a blessed Christmas. We heat with wood, so will be nice and toasty, no matter the weather.
Damn Global Warming!
I dont like the cold, but don't remember a winter in Oklahoma when it was not single digits for a while and sub freezing a-lot. And the wind always blows in OK.
Stay warm our southern frens!
Currently -32C (-25F) here in the middle of the Canadian Prairies but , the wind makes it feel like -45C (-49F).
Every single year in Washington we get 2-3 weeks of subzero temps. Not fun.
We are going to have single digits here in Mississippi. When it is like that, we stay in. If it snows or we have ice, we hibernate until it is gone. I do not know how people up north cope with all that snow and ice. I am more of a Bermuda shorts type of winter guy. I don't think I have but 6 pair of long pants and a couple of jeans but I have 40 pair of shorts! KEK
People in Michigan wear shorts all winter. I call them stupid.
We were on the beach in Pensacola a few years ago metal detecting. Temp was in the 40's and the wind blowing off the ocean made it cold to these old bones and we met several couples walking the beach in shorts and short sleeve shirts. We were wrapped up like an Eskimo. When we asked them, they said they were from Traverse City and came down every year to spend the winter. I knew they were not from the South! Kek

This happens 2 to 3 times a year in Chicago. The forecast isn't as bad as the night Juicy was "jumped by MAGA Country". This one does seem to go further south than normal though. Always prepare.
Global Warming everyone!
New song: Minnesota is the place to be, Frozen in a glacier that for me.. to the tune of "Green Acres"
Here in Atlanta area we might have one day a year where the high doesn't get above freezing. We've already had that one day earlier this year (late Oct if I remember correctly, which was unusually early). Now we're forecasted to have 3 in a row. And of course, when it does get cold here, it gets unbearably dry, so we don't even get any snow out of it.
Isla morada...key west
Aye, captain, but there be icebergs to watch out for.
I know, my husband acts like it’s gonna be nothing.
