Acts 7:43. Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
The seats were designed and made by Julius Lansburgh who was said to be German but when he died his funeral service was performed by a Jewish Rabbi. His design for the House of Representatives was based on the Turkish style which often used the 6 pointed star furniture tacks.
Incidentally the Lansburgh Furniture Company was in the Old Masonic Temple.
The building was renovated in the year 2000 at a cost of $33 million. Isn't that cute?
Good eye. on the upper 'in between seats' style. I think I also just saw one row? with normal stars, so it might not be everywhere? trying to find an up-to-date, more empty room picture, but all I can find is zoomed out too much to tell.
You would be surprised how many members of Congress have American/Israeli citizenship
A few years ago it was eighty-nine.
