I agree. And most of the Christian churches (mine included) are all declaring that "we are living in the last days"! So their attitude is "it is written". A very sad and fatalistic way of thinking.
My pastor has made it clear that Satan is not omniscent and they may be trying to rush the "last days" to their end. We don't know if it's truly the prescribed end of time, but for me, that's always seemed scary and not a hopeful way to live, worrying about it and watching for every sign.
It's in God's timing and control. You're right- it is a fatalistic way of thinking and is also self-defeating. God doesn't want us to worry, but to pray without ceasing and let Him have it. Life's a lot better when we do!
I've mentioned this before. Far too many people today are walking by sight and not faith. They are failing to see the miracles God is performing right in front of them. We are not to tribulation yet, but those who are paying attention strictly to what they see are being fooled.
"Not by might, not by strength, but by My Spirit . . . " The churchs are divided, impotent and in the flesh (sadly)
"The Kingdom of God is Power, not words"
Everybody who calls on the name of the Lord Jesus for salvation needs to humble themselves, confess they are blind, and pray for Healing and that God raises up his end time prophets to unite the divisions
Amen to this!
Precisely. The world has always been full of evil and we are actually seeing more and more of it. God knows most of us don't partake in it.
I’d disagree only because of the Dark Ages. It’ll never get that bad.
You typically leave some of the most insightful and helpful comments I've read in this forum over the past couple of years. And this is one of your best -- TY for the redminder, and for the encouragement. :)
You have no idea what that means to me, friend. :) I know my sense of humor can trip me up and sometimes possibly ruin my witness, but I am glad to be an encourager.
God bless you.
def trying to rush things. So much unfulfilled prophecy.
According to Pope Benedict posthumously released letter. It is the days of Antichrist
1 John 2:18 (KJV) - Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. John the Apostle declared that in his day (1st century) that there were "many antichrists". John never said that in his future that there would come this evil world leader called "the antichrist".
That's why people need to stop pandering to the evangelicals. It's almost as bad as commies pandering to every demographic they come across.
They're poor workmen of the Word.
That's concerning. Faith in God and Christ, and adherence to the Church are different, imho. Church rules were written by people, who are not infallible or immune to misguidance or corruption. (In fact, they say Thoth, who was the Egyptian version of Baal/Moloch, was the god of priests and ritual, and taught humans the structure of Church dogma through the Emerald Tablets, the same source of occult for the Jewish cabal, something to ponder.) I have faith in God and the message of Christ, and Christ was a rebel who would not bow down to oppression. We need only look within ourselves to find the answer. Not saying religion is bad, just questioning the authority of various churches, and no offense is intended for those who attend.
Stop noticing things!
