Well, she's made her millions from books and movie adaptations of her work, so that kind of money is what is called "fuck you" money. Once people reach wealth of that level, they can pretty much do and say whatever they want, even at the risk of future income. Must be nice.
Actually, her future income is rock solid as well. Not only she gets royalty fees from every book and movie ticket sold, she is also getting fees from that Universal Theme Park in Orlando due to the Wizarding World over there. She gets a cut from very Universal Theme Park ticket sold and every item sold, from clothes to the tiniest snack or drink. And given how Universal is kicking Disney's ass in the parks department, that cheque was huge. And it is getting even bigger once Nintendo World opens over there.
She is set for life, and the contract is bulletproof.
Plus... she's very easy to look at.
Nintendo World???
Universal Theme Park is planning to open up a new super Mario-themed expansion to their theme Park known as Nintendo World. If the expansion is as good as the previews are, then I anticipate that attendance and visits will skyrocket, maybe even causing Universal to take the crown away from Disney as THE Theme Park to visit in Florida...
If she named the jew, they would shut that park down tomorrow.
Royalties from Harry Potter, LEGO toys, and LEGO Harry Potter games? Those alone probably have her set for life.
There's so many people with fuck you money who still toe the line though. I think it's also that they lack blackmail material on her.
You don't need "fuck you money" you need "fuck you to money"
We need to go back to basics. The Bible was right. Love of money is the root of evil.
Accumulating wealth isn't the same as the "love of money." People who harm others in the pursuit of wealth are what the bible is referring to.
Yep
In a shallow context yes. Sayings typically have deeper meanings.
Money is an abstraction of value/power
What is another thing we know about the nature of man? That he is corruptable.
What corrupts man? Power and/or greed.
You have covered the greed aspect of money in your statement.
You haven't covered the power aspect.
The useful abstraction "money" allowed people to accumulate godlike levels of power.
Imagine being able to have a mountain relocated because you want to and you have the money to pay to have it done. Imagine what that does to your head.
Or you could pay off people's mortgages, let people stay in your penthouse when they have serious troubles, give money to causes and/or charities in which you believe, or even something like buying a social media company to restore free speech. There are a couple of people we are interested in that fit that bill.
Money isn't necessarily evil. It is how you use it that is evil.
If an evil person wants to act as they want without consequence, they need power. If they're a smart evil person, they don't act on their wants when they don't have power.
This is why there's tons of psychopaths in high positions, they are motivated by the power that will let them be evil fucks without consequence.
Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.
The only thing I imagine about a mountain relocation is Jesus saying enough faith in my Father u can ask the tallest mountain to fall in the deepest crevice in the Ocean. Faith.
Also I love the 2Pac lyrics in ‘Letter to the President’ song : My Heaviest words can move a mountain
God blessed and tasked many kings with such abundance of massively wealth kingdoms of wealth because it was noble to be able to feed the servants and there’s nothing wrong with it inherently. Kudos for typing the “love of money..” above. Ur almost there.
When the new testament had Zacchaeus the tax collector, And Jesus explained that the elderly woman who is the most generous - despite being the tinyest amount. because she gave ALL that she had.
Money is a tool. Your shouldn't 'love' your tools. Appreciate what your tools let you do, and show respect for your tools, practice tool safety and be aware of potential dangers your tools can present. But don't obsess over them.
Money, guns, wrenches, syringes, oil paints, voltmeters... All tools.
