I'm really starting to think this balloon story is Comms.
It's such a nothing-burger on its face. What could they seriously hope to discover from a balloon that will have any more influence than a spy jet flying overhead?
What do balloons do? They inflate and pops if you overfill it.
What else inflates and pops?
The economy.
Now, to determine what sector of the economy this "China Balloon" refers to...

Auto loans are on fixed loans , I think ? I’m not doubting you I’m wondering how this could happen people would keep paying their loans .?? . r u saying somehow half of America could lose their cars ,, this would be beyond a crisis. I have the titles for all my cars and SUV’s thank God !
"I want to believe"
The balloon is 3 school buses wide, they say.
Very interesting take fren. Per other commenters could be:
A) Stock market. I noticed it swell Thursday and nearly deflate today (Friday)
B) Real estate. It swelled the past few years. No one I know is able to sell, so may soon pop
C) Interest rates on everything grew like crazy, now stagnant, maybe ready to pop?
D) Gas/Oil.
E) Basically anything at the grocery store
If it is a comm rather than pure distraction, it will be very interesting to see what the message is in about a week's time.
