I don't mind EV's as an option because Sunshine is more infrastructure independent (freedom) than gasoline is... But why is this person not using the garage wall outlet? I wonder if they have sky-high electric rates out there in CA.
Why would you use the house outlet when you can get a funny picture to post online?
Highest in the nation, brother š I echo the infrastructure independent aspect. I just wish battery systems were more grounded in reality and produced domestically so that I could be insulated from outside factors.
For sure, I hate to think that my electronic devices with batteries in them are causing poor souls to stand around in an open pit digging for cobalt because of me. Sure it's a job, but people in those nations are so broke, by design, that they don't have better options.
Yeah, it can be a real morality twister. Iām pretty hopeful that we can get sodium ion batteries in the works as opposed to lithium here soon. We could use some new industries and it could potentially be used in conjunction with desalination plants here in California, helping our mismanaged water situation and providing electrical storage for the masses. We shall see how the situation develops though.
This is actually normal. Most electric is generated by fossil fuel (natural gas or coal) and if hydro and wind was the only source it would not supply enough to charge cars. The owner of that go cart does not know that either.
^^This.
Tesla owner has a shop and a mechanics chair..pfff. Picture is a total fake.
update More proof
Oh it's one of those new EV things. Only thing wrong is that they forgot to put the hitch on the back to pull the generator behind. It won't get that far down the driveway without it.
That's why you get an EV pickup truck, to carry an even bigger generator up there.
Ah, yes! You'd have room for a couple gas cans too.
Easier to say what isn't wrong
its causing a double or triple load on the infrastructure that had been working efficiently And Effectively before this contraption came along..... and I'm not talking about the portable generator either.
Actually, that will be end up being the solution for EV's as they are phased out... hopefully in an expedited manner.
From your lips to God's ears!

It looks like a Prius and they're not 100% electric?
