soon road-kill recipies won't be so far-fetched any more.... might be the only fresh food left!
We need more electric cars to create enough roadkill for all
Or just sit under a windmill and wait for dinner to fall from the sky.
I laughed way harder than I should have at that!
Not only are eggs a source of (formerly) cheap protein, but think of how many things use eggs as an ingredient. Saw a jar of mayo - basic Best Foods - is almost $10 a jar. Bread is sky high - $7 for basic sliced sourdough.
That's the plan. They're going after staples, the things that will cause the most damage with least effort.
I can see how driving the prices of certain foods up fits with their evil agenda, but is somebody subsidizing the price of bananas? The cost of everything else has increased DRAMATICALLY, but bananas have been holding steady at $0.99/lb for at least the last 10 years. Weird.
I buy free range eggs and they are still the same price as before. What has gone up in price is generic store brand eggs
I noticed this also! The cheap eggs are very expensive but the eggs that were already expensive went up very little in price.
Just had a customer call for work and she said eggs are almost $10 in Michigan. Unreal
Hyvee here....$2/ doz eggs, 2.12/lb hamburger
Its 7/lb here :<
βοΈNot a farmer: Can anyone tell me when the chickens are for sell at Tractor Supply Hardware or will there be a shortage on them too? π
Not sure, but the TS chickens may be MRNA vaxxed. Bill Gates is already talking about vaxxing cows with MRNA technology. Chickens are now being inoculated for avian bird flu. Good luck getting a source of pure protein. Oh ya, Purina foods were causing chickens to not lay eggs as well as Pride Ckicken Feed from tractor supply. Just some of what I've heard in the farming community. Take it for what it's worth.
Thank youβοΈ

Thank you
Soon! From what Iβve heard local/individual chick sellers could be ridiculously high, like $25 a piece. Where folks at retail sellers,TSC, will be the normal $2-$2:50 a chick still. Weβll see. I got all mine last year so Iβm not worried, but eventually Iβll have to get some more egg layers.
One dozen Happy Eggs (organic, free-range) $5.99 at Kroger. One lb. 85% ground beef from local market $7.79. Both prices unchanged in the last year. Shop smarter.
At my Kroger, 80-20 ground beef is usually $5.99-6.49 a pound
I am willing to pay more for the quality. I know where this beef comes from.
You buy ground beef for 7.79 a pound lol.
Have you heard of sales? Shop smarter.
Yes. No additives like Kroger and other retailers add. Pure beef from local farmers 85% lean.
Some corners are NOT worth cutting. https://www.mamavation.com/food/pink-slime-ground-beef.html
If youβre referring to grass finished then yeah that makes sense for that price.
What do they add to Kroger hamburger?
They will even grind it fresh on the spot for you while you wait.
Plus I am supporting local small business and the farmers.
I hear you but we still need to feed them hopefully not food that prevents them from laying eggs from Tractor supply stores
A lot of people freaked a month or so ago about no eggs but, as far as at home egg layers, this is normal. Every year between weather and molting, the chickens stop laying eggs. The amount goes up and down daily sometimes. If a bad storm comes in and itβs a 30degree difference in temperature, my chickens cut back for a few days. Then it warms up and Iβm getting max again. Bottom line is, happy chickens, more eggs. Unhappy chickens, zero eggs.
My thoughts are - - how can a dozen eggs cost significantly more than a gallon of gasoline? Exponentially more processing and labor goes into that than chickens popping out some eggs...
Good. Beef is better
Same experience as all of you. When I saw prices for eggs rising I bought some cartons of egg-beaters and freeze them 2 eggs per bag JUST IN CASE.
Perfect I was looking to spend more on eggs actually
Ground beef, bacon and toast it is then.
Seriously, my first though at as well. All I needed was a bullshit excuse to up my consumption of red meat.
