Reminds me of a USMC bumper sticker I once had:
"unhappiness is not caused by the way things are, it is caused by the difference between the way things are and how you think they should be."
The funny thing is, at first glance it seems defeatest. But over time, I realized it was basically saying to "be the change you want to see in the world".
