My mother never worked outside our home and none of her 4 kids went to jail, is divorced or failed to make a good living by Working for a living. My wife did not start working until both my kids were in school, and then she was always home when school was out. Neither of my kids has been in jail and both make $ 34 an hour. Liberal/communism/socialism raises Failures who will starve in their tracks when the cell towers go down.
My mom stayed home to raise and homeschool all five of my siblings and myself. Lived off my fathers income alone. She prioritized our upbringing knowing there was only a short window to do so. I will be staying home with my children and doing the same.
You live below your means and don’t buy “new” things every year. I know people who get a new phone each time a new model comes out. There’s also people who fall for the scam of purchasing new cars they can’t afford.
They also buy houses outside their budget and are house poor. Most people’s financial problems stem from lack of financial stewardship.
The birth certificate got around the 13th amendment and allowed the installation of the Federal Income Tax. WW1 helped get the women to work, pay taxes, and send their children to public schools. In my opinion
Hilariously if livable wages were paid due to a reduction in workers, they'd actually have more of a reason for importation of workers.
We used to be the land of opportunity, but boy have we offloaded our manufacturing and development to other countries and flooded the job market with workers to saturate what's left.
Childcare is incredibly important. My wife passed during childbirth and I was left to raise twin girls on my own 2,000 miles away from any family. My wife's family abandoned us because I baptized the girls and they always hated religion, and I was an only child to elderly parents who had passed on by that point.
If I wasn't able to hire childcare locally, I wouldn't have been able to work and wouldn't have been able to afford a home.
Handshake with an exceptional story of an orphaned widower. I think you tried too hard with this story. If you had no parents or siblings, then who were you 2000 miles from?
and the pandering to us religious people by mentioning the anti-religion in-laws. Like we’re supposed to believe that the in-laws would fault the girls for being baptized, as if they thought that newborn babies made that decision for themselves kek
You know it's kind of amazing how mankind was able to manage through real suffering: wars, famine, devastation, etc etc, for thousands of years, without hiring 'childcare'.
Even if your story is true, there is always a way. Move back with family for the duration of the child's early formative years, scale back, change lifestyles, you name it.
You just CHOSE to place important on $ instead of children. No judgment, but it's important to 1. recognize what this is and 2. take responsibility.

It's hilarious isn't it.
People of all economic strata care so much about their 'careers' and 'earnings'...
... that they are ok with OUTSOURCING THE RAISING OF THEIR OWN CHILDREN to minimum wage earners.
Boggles the mind really.
I was a stay-at-home mom of 3 kids, all grown now.
My wife raised the best 3 people I know.
She raised me? Lol.

To be fair though they've made this almost impossible. How can any employed person raise a family of 5 these days on one normal job salary?

Reprobates….
All progressives are reprobates as discussed in the Bible.

To counter your pro-daycare anecdote, here’s Reese Bowman‘s anecdote
And note the carefully chosen handle "John Titor Lives" - as if we anons believe that C_A story!

Jesus this is tragic. There is a need for childcare, perhaps on some level. But not to the extend the government wishes it to be you must admit.
It is important. We should be focusing on quality.
