Definitely agree with you about Syd Barrett. I think Roger Waters is burning the remainder of his artistic capital to prevent WWIII, and I'm okay with it. Pink Floyd's real legacy ends with Animals and starts with Arnold Layne. Do not like Waters' music and Gilmour's Floyd was merely okay. Rick Wright was a gentle soul and a great musician.
I don't listen to them as much as I used to, back in high school, but I do still love their music and lyrics. Dark Side of the Moon is probably the best "use headphones" album I've heard, and while The Wall is tremendous, I think it became a bit too popular, for me, if that makes sense.
I think my favorite album of theirs is Meddle. And you're right, David Gilmour is a total freaking genius on the guitar.
I’m glad he said these things, but he coulda added something about the biolabs. That element isn’t mentioned enough. However, he’s anti-Trump so he can go screw hisself. Further, celebs should keep their mouths shut about politics & stick to what they do best, pretending to be someone else or making noises.

If he's the type to just blast every president in office then at least it's more trustworthy than people who only criticize one party.
On the other hand, even as my faith in Trump wavers I still feel like "Fuck Trump" is the biggest mating call of sheeple in world history.
He's maddening because as I always say, Waters is correct about most situations, but he almost always directs the criticism in the wrong direction.
He's generally a libtard, but I believe he's a free thinker, rather than being a controlled asset mindlessly parroting "the message".
