Birthday dinner at Basilico’s in Huntington Beach last night. Here’s a sign on the door. While there a food delivery person walked in wearing a mask, and was immediately told to remove the mask or wait outside. She thought they were joking, but found out they weren’t.

Um, Christ was Jewish and his first disciples were Jews ?
How does this get downvoted?
Because it's not true.
Christ was an Israelite. He did not descend from jew-ish bloodline or proceed it. He was brought up through the customs of jew-ish practice, ya know, because Christianity didnt exist yet. That's what you may be thinking of.
Read Matthew. The first verse starts with His genealogy from Abraham, through Isaac and then Jacob. This is the basic definition of a Jew.
I'm sorry, I didnt see that the bible made those connections. It appears you did. What is the basic definition then? What about a Judahite?

Or you could ask a couple of Jews. These have some interesting twists on the question. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoMRXp3l9-U&t=169s
Where does it say that his disciples were all jews?
Not one of them was a scribe, sadducee or a pharisee. The first "real jew" disciple we have sure knowledge about was Saul/Paul.
At the time, where Jesus was doing his ministry, and in particular, the locations he was ministering in, we see that the populations were mixed. Indeed, he worked among the Romans and Samaritans as much as the jews, if not more so.
Yo, Yud, the book of Matthew traces the lineage of Jesus all the way back to Abraham. IF Jesus’ parents weren’t 100% Jewish (in the line of Promise), then how was this possible for Matthew to do? Are you implying that Matthew is lying? Or somehow mistaken?
Did you notice that Ruth is in that line?
Was Ruth a Jew?
David was a descendant of Ruth, too. Was David a Jew?
Beware the scribe.
