Hey guys, this is unrelated to what is going on with president Trump, but I just wanted to share this so you guys are careful.
I work remotely for an electricity provider in TX. I wont post the name, but I have noticed since last year that a lot of latinos are calling in to enroll for services with stolen names and SSN. These people can't even pronounce the names they are using, and the DOB are always off, like you hear somebody who sounds young claim to have been born in 1950.
I believe these are the people who are openly been brought into the US by the biden administration, and because they need electricity, they are been given personal information by the government so they can set up service and never pay a cent to electricity providers. It's just too much to say that they are calling with a SSN they found in a wallet they stole, and I believe the government is involved. I think they have set up call centers for this purpose. In the background you can hear other people setting up services, and once I muted my phone and the guy who called told somebody that the SSN that he used is no longer working and to tell somebody else about it.
As an example, I got a call yesterday from a latina woman that provided me an obvious black woman's name she couldn't even pronounce. She asked if it was possible to add 2 accounts to her already existing one. Turns out, her account had been set up 4 days ago. She said the new accounts were for family that just moved in, and they needed both of them to start yesterday. I told her, what a coincidence that your family members are moving to different cities on the same day. She was required to email picture id for both accounts. She wont because she only has the name and SSN, so the enrollments wont go through. The company I work for is woke, but this has been brought up to their attention, and because it's really bad, they are working to prevent this some how by requiring additional identification.
In essence, all I want to say is try to keep your SSN safe. Have the credit bureaus require additional information, such as picture id's or something else. Set it so you get a warning any time your SSN is used in a credit check or enrollment for any type of service. I'm sure you guys know more than I do how to do this. Lmaooo. Dude in Texas you can go to a Mexican flea market and buy a fake social and ID. Is not the federal government giving them the fake identity. They buy the shit at flea markets. Other times is Mexicans who work in Government offices like WiC and or social security that take the information and sell it. I used to know a school principal that was using high school students that stole iPhones to then resale them at a shop. Mexican guy coordinating with Hispanic students to sell stolen property, and that was just the tip of the iceberg. Drugs involved in the mix too.
Good to know but I think the point OP was making is that regardless of where the socials came from, they were somehow flagged as free electricity as the utility company never gets paid
I dont think they are fake as they pass the credit score check, though I have to admit, living in a different country I don't really know how the credit system works completely.
My point is, since this administration took office, this thing has increased.

Photo id is the utility company's account setup policy. For your credit report, you can set up a credit freeze so that you are notified first, but you have to do that direct with the credit report companies. I've never done it, just read about it. Good luck.
Decades ago, Mike Wallace from 60 minutes did a piece on how SSNs are sold right across the Mexican border in San Diego. No hiding, no shame, "Get your Social Security number here!" shouted from the corner. They were going for $200 each at the time. No telling what peanuts they go for now. Our government has been a disgrace for decades.
