It is my understanding that the agreements made in 2014 with Russia and Ukraine were to leave the eastern parts of Ukraine alone and let the residents pursue the way of life that they always have enjoyed I.e. Russian language etc. Also that the thought by Ukraine was that they would never let this happen and shelled that area ( if we can’t have it then neither can they). Also that this agreement was just a lie to Russia to allow Ukraine to ramp up their military. Sorry in advance if I’ve got this totally wrong but really need to understand in a simple way WTF is the cause.

It's easy. Ukraine is a Kazarian demon nest, planned HQ with bio labs, adrenechrome factories, human trafficking, money laundering, a real Nazi run shithole -- with regular people citizens who are just trying to survive. This had to be done to save the world. Thank you Putin.

Ukraine was supposed to be a buffer country between Russia and NATO.
NATO has been slowly moving eastward towards Russia.
The Soviet Union fell and the NATO countries were established and codified. Then McCain, Graham and the CIA conducted a color revolution and ejected the duly elected government and installed Ukraine's answer to Jerry Seinfeld as the "President", meanwhile NATO steadily added countries to their cabal until they were at Putin's doorstep and that's why we are where we are.
Thanks all for your input. When speaking to the norms about the conflict hardly anyone knows or can discuss the whys. Wasn’t the Donbas accords supposed to fix the differences?
