What was the reason for the sink stunt? It was captioned at the time "let that sink in" but I still don't see the significance.

We still have a majority of Americans who think you have to have a press pass to be the press.
I never had a desire to exercise that right but one of my neighbors who appears to be a conservative did not even know this. I asked him what department of the government issues press passes. Silence—much like what is a woman—silence.
