Because it's a trend, it's a fad, a virtually infinite way to revise yourself in the eyes of other people and present yourself as a snowflake or to fit in.
It's anything but organic, and anything but legitimate.
Several studies I have come across conclude 1.8% of men are gay, 4.5% of women are lesbian, bisexual, or bi-curious, and less than 0.1% are truly trans.
Not necessarily switching back. They may have believed that they were of one persuasion early in life, then realized how ridiculous it was before deciding to live normally.
Someone who used to frequent Tumblr back in the day said that the double mastectomies etc were basically this generation's "cutting".
Be a teenage girl. Want to fit in. Do damage to your body and then post it online for solidarity/asspats. Same thing, except this time the damage is far more "acceptable" than cuts on your arms.
My friend group in school were the alternative kids (goth, punks, emo, etc). Most of my friends were at least bisexual, especially the girls. We're all adults now, in our late 20s - early 30s. Most of them, from what I see from their FB are in heterosexual relationships and have children.
For the most part, I think any sexuality that isn't heterosexual is a phase, especially if they are young. Once they reach 25 or so, things change. But then there's the small few who are actually gay and stay gay for the rest of their life.
I think it comes from this idea of not wanting to be considered "normal", because that's boring. It's like a rebellion against the norm. This trans trender shit is the same thing.
When I was in college, there was a term LUG meaning lesbian until graduation.
Lol👌
So basically like all these regular people walking around us, all normal, yet used to be goth kids.
Exactly

Brown university professor would like her job back.
She pointed this out nearly a decade ago. It's all psychological/ a fad. Brainwashing
I used to have a mullet in the 1980s, it seemed cool at the time. Now I realize it was gay.
As a former mullet wearer, it wasn't gay then. But it's definitely gay NOW.
Thanks for your kind words. That means a lot to me.
Unless you're Theo Von...
All of that and they only represent about 8% of our population in the first place.
Its trendy these days to be part of the alphabet soup, until you find out the realities of it all.

What about bisexual dudes? Is that just included in the "gay" statistic? Because that's relevant numbers too.
In the words of Andrew Dice Clay ... "You either suck cock, or you don't suck cock!"
Bisexual dudes fall under the "gay" category.
8%? I tend to believe it's far less than that.
7.1 in 2022 by survey, but who can believe stats as they are skewed in the direction the statistician prefers. We will never know real numbers.
We already knew this from all those college "lesbians" who suddenly have a boyfriend after graduation.
It’s like they decided they want kids or something.
The number that switch back can't be higher than 60%
Because...

That's just in the tiny "trans" group, not for all the dumb chicks who think they are bi or les because they haven't figured their shit out yet.
