The mailing of checks used to be reliable, could predict the amount of time a payment would be received, two or three days.
They had the USPS slow the mail during COVID. Vendors started demanding online payment b/c the mail was not reliable, basically imposing on the payee b/c the USPS was not delivering! Feature, not flaw??
It takes far less time to cut checks and mail them, than it does to log onto many different sites to submit payments.
I HATE that the US is no longer reliable for mailing checks! What next?? We are becoming the USSR where nothing works anymore.
WTH does mailing a check have to do with anything?
If you regularly send paper checks, then hundreds of drones in dozens of companies see the exact same info. If checks are vulnerable, that's where the vulnerability lies.
Besides, there's already a federal law to prohibit interfering with the mail. Surely if gun laws work then mail laws work. So this can't possibly be an issue.
When is the “paper money has ebola/hunta/covid/ur eyeballs gonna melt and fall out virus on it…” going to swing back around? They tried it several years ago but got no traction.
I like to use my checkbook sometimes just to role model to the kids behind the register. I watch them watch me, as if I am doing some ancient arcane ritual. I guess I cling to a simpler time, at times.

If only we had some sort of way to pay bills without mailing a check, clutches pearls.

But that was before the “covid” psyop. Now?
