Fwiw, there are different Lutheran synods, and the one mentioned in the article should not even be allowed to be called Lutheran......there is nothing Lutheran about them. I am LCMS (Missouri Synod) and we are very conservative and are based on scripture....grace alone by faith alone on the basis of scripture alone. And the Wisconsin Synod is even MORE conservative (women not allowed to be church council board members).
I am super extra disgusted and pissed that these blasphemous fools tarnish the name of real Lutherans. I think they must be similar to offshoots of the Methodist church that got totally taken over by the rainbows and caused splits and they just kept the name even though it's totally not that.

LOL I just replied as a Missouri synod Lutheran! I'm living among the Amish and Mennonite populations now, but even the Mennonites are fleeing from their national committee...because the national committee voted to allow same sex marriage (yes-mennonites!) and to be exclusively pacifists meaning our great service members (active, retired, reservists or "regular vets) were frowned upon and discouraged from attending...because they are "murderers". So sad....

I grew up as a Lutheran, Missouri synod (a conservative synod, slow to change thank goodness) but I never considered the differences between the different Lutheran churches and synods to mean much. But this is out and out blatant blasphemy. Frankly I wouldn't even consider it a Christian church at all, let alone a Lutheran one.
It's not that there's a scientific argument for an all-powerful spirit to be called "Him". It's that in the holy books dedicated to worship of said spirit, He specifically calls Himself by masculine pronouns. So if He says He's a Him, who are you to say otherwise? So, they always twist omnipotence which technically would mean God could be both and all sexes and everything else at the same time, but though the heathens try to play God, they are NOT God, and would not share that omnipotence to be all things.
Biologically we are men, or we are women. The few exceptions to this rule end up being effectively sterile almost every time, and tend not to pass on their genes. But wanting to be -- because I refuse to accept that it is just believing you are -- a different sex, or even something different entirely, does not make you the exception too.
