I bartend at a high volume outdoor bar during the summer time. The owner just walked in yesterday after reading the sales report from June and announced that we are done with Bud Light. BL was second in sales last year next to Corona. I’ve served 2 since we’ve opened. Now Modelo is king at our establishment.
I'm mad Kona beer is owned by AB. I enjoy their brewskis.

Modelo is lightyears better tasting than Bud Light anyway. So this is good for reason.

Well, if history repeats itself (strong evidence to suggest it does) this is our revolution's "Boston Tea Party." This time the government is tyrannically taxing us AND trying to force us to accept full blown mental illness. I would say I'm surprised they haven't tried to make meme's illegal but Europe already has.

And yet it doesn't hurt AB much at all because people boycott Butt Lite by switching to various other brands that are also owned by AB. AB makes the same amount of money either way until people are willing to give up alcohol completely. But so far very few people have been willing to give up the vice of drinking.
Humans have been consuming alcohol for thousands of years and that’s not going to change. There are plenty of ways to consume alcohol including beer without buying ABInbev products. There are so many independent breweries, distilleries and wineries now. And you can always make your own.

The news keeps saying this is a boycott. That implies to me it's temporary. A better definition would be a break-up. Bud Light is like the crazy girlfriend you broke up with who is stalking you. You just want her to go away, but she is going around telling everyone the break-up is just temporary and that she will win you back. Crazy bitch.
Costco, who sells vegetables sprayed with Bill Gates "Apeel". It's Costco, another big business that benefitted from shutdowns, that should be canceled but yeah, so many smart people here.
Slow death? It looks like we have to double our efforts then and find ways to speed up the process. Once Bud-Light is gone, AB will have to pick out their next beer that will be taking the hit. No of this will be ending, ever.
Modelo is still InBev. Same with Corona and Dos Equs. The only Independent Mexican beer I can find is Pacifico.
