Money and cars certainly get you more at bats with women
One of the things I learned from my wife is that women are hit on constantly when they're in public and not with a man. Even while obviously wearing a wedding ring.
I imagine it's kind of annoying, and they are basically forced to find some way to filter out the onslaught in the short term. That makes things like height, weight, clothes, signs of wealth about the only means they can use without spending all of their time "getting to know" every random dude that approaches them. And, generally speaking, guys that hit on anything with a pulse make up the bulk of those hitting on women, so they get a skewed perspective of the men that are out there.
It's a numbers game.
I think, unfortunately, too many women internalize the short-term filters to the point that nobody else gets a chance. So when alternate ways of meeting men present themselves - like recommendations of friends, or even online dating - they leave those same short-term filters up even when they should maybe lower their shields a bit.
You are either loving and loyal to the person you are with or your not and that goes both ways. There is no "give the woman what she wants" if the woman isnt reciprocal. And he being the man of the house should always be the priority. If he isnt well, isnt supported, isnt treated with respect she is deserving of none of it.
My wife just wants head pats and for me to brush her coat...
Like a puppy. Best wife :) :)
Not all women are the "right woman"
What is a woman? What is a man?
Nearly all women want all that ... in addition to all the money, cars and gifts.
Good women value the better things instead of the cash and bling. Very rare. Proverbs 31:10.
Yes, the money, cars and gifts are fine in the context of the first...I thought this was a given and am surprised at the men's point of view...Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus is so true...I must be very "old school"..or perhaps just old...
Well...is Proverbs 31 still applicable today? Very rare...I would honestly hope so...
Good men were never wife-beaters, and yet there was a time when bad men could get away with it. And at the time, good men were probably skeptical that it happened, not wanting to see it or realize that such shameless men existed.
Today women are empowered to such a degree that they are encouraged to take advantage of men. There are numerous government programs that incentivize divorce, and protect women from its consequences. Exceptions exist but are rare. A divorced man can easily lose kids, assets and income, effectively becoming a wage slave with government complicit in forcibly taking his salary, while simultaneously removing much of what makes life fulfilling. Good women often think that other women couldn't be that evil, but they are wrong. Our government actively encourages women to use men as cash flow accessories.
Most men on this forum are awake to the danger, and many of them woke up after being a victim. Even chivalrous romantic idealists like myself require a lot of cynicism in today's society. Being jaded and cynical is a self-defense mechanism.
Thanks for your thoughts...post was removed...off topic...although relationships are very on topic...go figure...yeah we have lost Biblical principles of marriage and roles of women/men in society...what is a woman? What is a man?
👍
I have to take the post down as off-topic and direct you to the daily post:

No problem...
I’ve seen enough Marriages and relationships fall apart and enough suicides to kill the part of me that’d believe this.
But Good luck to whoever still gets married and I hope your marriage works out. Unless things change dramatically. I’m not risking my neck or money on it.
