My guess is that was a set in stone plan for them a few years back but I think they'll try a third option based on just how universally disliked and outed as a man Big Mike has become. I doubt that third will be Newsom if they're serious about trying. If I had to guess it's gonna be someone with some serious handicap, traumatic past, or just ANYTHING they can use as a shield for criticism.
