We're taught to celebrate conquest in celebrating the birth of America, at least in the ways its taught in schools. Europeans killed a bunch of native Americans and stole their land to create what we now know of as the USA.
Just an interesting parallel I'm seeing to today. Can someone show me a difference, other than the weapons being used? I'm not defending the conquest of America from the natives back then, or the conquest of Hawaii from their natives today. Just curious everyone else's thoughts on this.
Agreed! Praying for Hawaiians. The native Hawaiian's have been crapped on far too long. On the Big Island near Hilo I saw the same plots of land and homes owned by Native Hawaiians underneath the big mansions. I loved visiting Hawaii and the people but I don't blame them for wanting to leave America.
The same thing was done to many tropical island countries before England, France & Spain came to America. My ancestors are English, Scottish & Irish. I discovered last year my six great grandfather from Scotland was brought to North Carolina by King George. He's also listed as headed up Indian relations, we know what that means. He & his nephew were NC governors. They say don't meet your heroes. This is one ancestor I'm not proud of at all. My grandma came from very poor people probably because her ancestors lost everything after the North won the civil war. I'm proud of my poor share cropper ancestors but not those elites!
Is it just me, or is it weird that school just happened to be canceled that day?
edit: "It looks like a bomb went off, if I may." Looking like they were asking permission.
Again just weird considering many building are completely leveled. Might be seeing things that just aren't there so no firefighters seem to have been there to put out flames & this could be what it means to burn to the ground.
I was one of the many women suckered into Oprah's show. I can't stand to look her. She's arrogant talking like she's part of that community. If she cared so much bring the homeless to her multi acre huge mansion.
We know the media lies. We know the media is all in hyping this disaster. Why do we assume they are telling the truth in this instance? Everybody has a phone.
Where are the viral videos from amateurs supporting the size of this disaster?

Oh it's worse than that.
Check out this free documentary my church made: Stealing Paradise: History of the Hawaiian Kingdom
It explores the illegal activities that led to the overthrow of a kingdom that was dramatically impacted by the Gospel.
Points to consider:
The Gospel had penetrated the Hawaiian Kingdom and was bearing considerable fruit.
The men who participated in the hostile overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom were guilty, both under God's Law and International Law.
The United States government confessed and apologized for its part in the hostile overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom, thus admitting guilt.
Hawaiian people are right to point to the injustice that was perpetrated upon their Kingdom both legally and morally.
The ultimate hope for Hawaii is through peace with Jesus Christ.

Also the government officials were away.

I'm still the number one name in Hawaiian BarbieQ - Capt Cook
Aptly funny in a black humour way
Isn't the Phoenix part of their symbols in their cult? Interesting she said that we will see Phoenix rising.
Aluminum and magnesium dust are the fuel of flash powder, burns very hot and fast, add an oxidizer like potassium perchlorate and it’s explosive.
