We investigated mortality in Anopheles farauti mosquitoes, a major coastal malaria vector in the south-west Pacific, fed on a volunteer who had taken a 250 μg/kg dose of ivermectin. High mortality was recorded in mosquitoes feeding during the first week after treatment of the volunteer, for instance 100-80% failed to survive 3 days.
A pill that kills mosquitoes after they bite you. Pretty neat. Now if only there was a pill that prevented them from biting in the first place 🤔
Crazy as it sounds, I've never once been bitten in my life. I've heard blood type has to do with it. Although in my drinking days I'm sure anything that sucked on my blood would have been dead. Dracula himself would have been wasted at the very least.
So how is the weather in Antarctica?
Wow. I wish I had that good fortune. Those bastards are thick where I am in KY right now. Especially in the evenings, makes it a pain in the ass to do any garden type work.
A mosquito is parasitic, it seems to be a broad spectrum parasite killer. Super neat
Ivermectin is a cat flea treatment, that's what I first remember it as. One tiny drop on the back of the cat's neck and the fleas that bite them die from neurological poisoning.
It's not suitable for Collie dogs though.
I used ivermectin sheep drench on a horrible infection on one of my rabbits had in her ears. Its was really bad. In less than 24 hours … gone. Completely gone.
In Canada they use selamectin which is a derivative of Ivermectin. But yeah they use it to rid lots of animals of parasites pretty regularly.
Ivermectin, I believe was created from Avermectin which was identified in a Japanese soil bacterium. Kinda cool.
I'm on it at the moment so no insect had better bite me!
Small win haha
I wonder if it could be killing off the mosquito gut bacteria Asaia which (from my very limited understanding) might cause the mosquito to not be able to digest the blood products it feeds on.
How about a pill that protects from Leftist Madness Syndrome (LMS).
Very good to know.
And don't forget HCQ, which is a long-known preventive and cure for malaria. If you're not already on it, might be time to start taking both IVM and HCQ prophylactically. (I've been on IVM since it cured my case of covid in 2021. And last month, I put myself of HCQ prophylactically.)
If anyone needs a place to buy these, pill form, no Rx required (also antibiotics / other generic meds), here's a list of reliable places -- a link to the dosing Protocols is at the top of the page.

Quercetin is the natural equivalent of HCQ and is available over the counter. I take it every day.
Yep, Quercetin is an essential supplement. It's also important for heart/circulatory system health.
Like you, I take it daily, along with Zinc, Vitamin D, and the other basics. That's all I was using when I got covid in late 2021, but the symptoms were so bad I started on the horsey paste IVM. That cured me in 36 hours, and I decided to stay on it prophylactically. (Dr Z's Protocol.)
I take those other supplements as well. And NAC. I had a mild case of covid, at least that is what the blood antigen test said. Lasted about a day and took some ivermectin paste.
Oh, gosh yes, NAC is definitely essential. I should have listed that. Anons here got me started on that in 2021 as well. As a long time smoker (cowboy killers), NAC did wonders for clearing out my lungs.
And I recently learned that NAC also helps with alcohol cravings and is used by folks trying to cut back / quit.
I'm lucky. I live in East Texas, and while we don't have a huge bat colony like Congress Ave Bridge in Austin I have my own little bat colony that lives under the overhang on my large shed/workshop out back. They take care of most of the mosquitoes and other bugs. We do have to be careful if we get in the pool around dusk though - the bats like to dive bomb the pool to get drinks of water.
A little extra info. Bacteria can be either positive or negative for your health. Bacteria are single celled simple living organisms. Some bacteria are parasites and some are not. Some bacteria are symbiotic with their hosts and produce highly positive health benefits and also kill off parasitic or toxic bacteria.
Some multicellular creatures are parasites, while most are not. Antibacterials generally do not work very well on multicellular parasites. Anti parasitics kill parasites, but some of these drugs only work on certain types of parasites, while others kill multiple types. Ivermectin seems to disrupt and kill a broad array of both bacteria and parasites. Most antibiotics are derived from byproducts of microbes, typically these microbes are found in the soil. Apparently, microbes wage chemical warfare on each other, we merely take advantage and produce an environment for these microbes to thrive and produce concentrations of their natural chemical weapons to use in medicines.
Take away key: treat yourself to eliminate harmful bacteria and parasites and then load up on probiotic or helpful bacteria to help break down nutrients and foods while simultaneously fighting off any harmful bacteria that enters your body.
Thank you for the extra info!
