For the sake of argument, let's say that Trump wins 2024 and completes his mission to drain the Swamp. Who do you envision as the right person to carry on his legacy? I've been thinking about this question, but I can't seem to find a satisfactory answer:
-
Ron Desantis: A year ago he would've been the obvious answer. Now that he's the favorite for Bushite billionaire donors and anti-Trump pundits, I'm not so sure.
-
Don Jr: He's a good man and has certainly seen his fair share of hardship. However, I dislike the principle of political "dynasties" -- no offense to the guy.
-
Current GOP: I find some tolerable, like Ted Cruz, Tim Scott, or Ben Carson. But if Trump is really going after the Swamp, sooner or later these guys are going to get implicated, and they'll turn against MAGA. (If I'm wrong, I'll be pleasantly surprised.)
-
Up-and-coming GOP: I have nothing but support for people like Kari Lake, but I'm not sure she's ready for the Big Chair just yet. I'd like to see her be a governor first.
I'm sure some of you have given this consideration, and I value your opinions. What are your thoughts? Is there someone I've overlooked?
That's an interesting idea. Anyone specific you have in mind?
I'll defer to DJT - his VP will be the leading candidate. He knows that he MUST ensure his legacy.
Correct
And I have a feeling it will be Lake
I don't think so. He has to win - solidly - in 24 first, then he can worry about his legacy. Lake has massive appeal in the rabid Trump camp but will do absolutely nothing to expand his base. IN fact, she may contract the progress DJT has made in urban and suburban areas. She will almost assuredly not appeal to the soccer moms. Beyond that, we have no record to go on - only fiery rhetoric. She needs seasoning. And similarly, several really good options (such as Noem) will not do anything to tilt the EC more favorably. I think Youngkin is being set up to be a future choice and might be a choice to expand the base, but I don't know how much DJT will trust him.
Trump doesn't need to worry about his base - it is solid. And the power by 28 will be back to the legislature and the states as Trump restores Constitutional balance to the federal government.
If Q is being run by flag officers (I assume at least most are retired) I see several possibilities. Vallely was early talking about the threat to the country. LTG Flynn would be immensely capable but like Lake may have too much baggage for the general populace. Among non-Q types one might consider Jordan or a couple of others. And looking at state officials beyond governors, look at Robinson from NC. He needs to win his current election but would be a really stellar choice.
In the end. I trust DJT - he (and the Q team) know how to play the long game. I will follow his lead.
Good point. I'm really interested to know who he has in mind for VP this go-around.
I'm imagining Trump:Lake in 24
FYI, Cruz was not born in the US
Neither was barry
Touché
Didn’t stop him from running in ‘16… but noted. Thanks.
Yes he did try to make a run. That's interesting
I have a feeling someone not currently a politician will emerge. I wouldn’t count out Kari Lake, but agree I would much rather see her as Governor of Arizona.
I find myself liking the straight talking Iron Eagle Colonel Douglas MacGregor.
Compare Lake to Harris. Laugh. Then laugh some more.
No shit. We’re here discussing top notch people and the DS pushes people on us who can’t string together a coherent sentence. And, then pretend they are geniuses.
Ven diagrams are cool....bigot
That's a man who's not been on my radar. But I see he had an interview with Tucker, so I'll check it out. Thank you!
lets fix 2020 first and get past 2024....then we will work on 2028
The only one I would fully trust is Don Jr. But as a former wrestler, I like Jordan.
Jordan, as in Jim Jordan? He's a good guy, no doubt. I'll add him to my short list. Thanks!
Yep.
We can't create a dynasty. We have to be careful about that.
General Flynn, Mike Lindell?
I like Mike too. Good idea. I mean, just because Obama was a crackhead doesn't mean Mike would be a bad President. If he loves America as much as he loves My Pillow... & I'm sure he does.
True and Mike admitted to his addiction and beat it Obama has not admitted his addiction to pole smoking or crack use.
JFK Jr 2028
How about general flynn?
There could be tectonic shifts before 2028. Not going to hazard a guess who will be provided for us to rally around.
Second, do not care [yet] about 2028.
We have to WIN 2024, BIG TIME! BIGLY!
The dems have no one to oppose us even in 2024 but the lame and the blind. Lets knock 2024 out of the park, as if there is no doubt and there should be no doubt!
Of course, friend. It's just a loose thought I had floating around in my head, but 2024 is the goal right now. Thanks for your energy.
Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho
Gesundheit ;D
I SO started to trash this thread\idea of spec. VS. reality in the now fight... Wasted energy, focus etc. etc. But...
BONGINO! (Go ahead, i deserve the ridicules) but just consider what all we will be facing.
Gen. Flynn as military\spec ops
Hey, feel free to trash all you want. I’m not saying we should put our focus on ‘28, nor am I endorsing any one person. I’m just curious as to what you friends are thinking.
I understand, i do. It just hit me wrong, at first. But as i read the comments i got it. Which is why i had to throw my hat in the ring.
It did seriously get me thinking about the future, whatever that may end up being.
Oh, I didn't know that. That actually puts my mind at ease; I was concerned that Trump would find himself saddled with a Pence 2.0 for 2024. Thanks, friend.
Who is a BOSS just like Trump? Will this unknown BOSS appear on the political scene in the near future following Trump's 2024 win?
Perhaps we may want to listen & watch Trump's endorsements and praises. Who's tough enough as Teflon Don?
Jim Jordan? James Comer? Matt Gaetz? Krist Noem?
As in sports, we MUST have a deep bench...
Idk, that is a hard question to answer. I kinda want to see if we have a 2024 election first. Who knows, maybe our supreme leaders will cancel the elections because climate change or racist ballots or something
JFK Jr maybe?
Thank you, I knew I was forgetting someone!
If you don't mind me asking: what good qualities do you see him bringing to the table, and do they outweigh some of his more leftish tendencies (e.g., on environmental policy)?
How 'bout Jordan or Gaetz?
I always thought Jim Jordan would be a good pick.
Rand Paul w/ Jordan VP
Talk about a one-two punch!
Might be Tucker for VP in 24.
Kanye
That would be a wild 4 years!
