this whole EV push will go up in flames...many of them literally.....
They want us to rely on EVs so they can shut off the power and keep us from traveling freely.
In the old Communist East Germany, even after a person got a car after 20 years on the waiting list (and it was a cardboard Trabi body with a 2-cycle lawn mower type engine) they were only allowed to buy fuel at certain stations. They could not drive anywhere they wanted to.
Control the fuel, people can't drive anywhere.
Stop trying to shape, funnel and force us into ways of life that we don't want.

Do any of the politicians (for or against) ever talk about the lifeblood of electric vehicles--the power grid? We all know California's grid couldn't even come close to handling every single household in the state driving electric vehicles, but it seems to be a topic very few in positions of power talk about. Or maybe I just miss it when it comes up?
Even commiefornia is still less than 15% of the cars on the road are electric and their grid cant even handle that

The grid can totally handle it, it almost always, even in the middle of summer, has twice the power available as is being consumed. Telling people it can't is how you get them to pay more.

Not strictly. There are tons of interconnects between the systems. They're just not AC synchronized. So, you can't mix and match generators from one system on the same wires without either a DC intertie or complex synchronization equipment, but we do have those.
Work for USBR in hydroelectric generation. They use peak wind/solar power generation to massage the numbers. In reality wind and solar do not operate efficiently nor are they consistently generating. Hydro is still far ahead of generation over wind and solar combined.
Hard empirical data tells the whole story. Hydro is the only true reliable renewable of the three. Not to mention the word “green” hardly applies to wind/solar. Fabricating those yields lots of waste with large carbon footprints.
