Each time they are to answer, instead of simply saying yes or no, they pause then say, "Senator" (as though it is a scolding) and then they obfuscate with a random word salad, never answering the question nor adding anything of benefit, only serving to waste the finite time that is available for questioning.

But this clever questioner (Troy Nehls) allowed no such time wasting, and just gave the answers to the questions, preventing the guilty Mayorkas from wasting his time.

People that want to do the right thing only have 5 mins - which is not nearly enough time - and the person being questioned stalls until the time is up. Then some idiot like Jayapal (or whatever her name is) comes up and thanks the witness profusely for being there and proceeds to ask about something completely unrelated (like she did today with abortion). The dems attack the republicans and the republicans actually ask the questions needed but don't get the answers. If the majority switches so do the tactics.
Until they extend the time each person is able to ask questions, and reduce the number of people on the committees, nothing will ever get fixed and these are just a waste of time. Same thing goes for accountability. If they would actually be able to charge people like that idiot Garland for perjury they might get more answers. That won't happen though until CONgress does their job and uses their power of the purse.
For that matter - the House controls the money. They should simply not pass any bills until the Senate agrees to pass what the House wants and until Biden will sign them. Instead they buckle every time and give the dems everything they want. They need to stop. Shut everything down. EVERYTHING. The Senate will have to cave in if they want anything. It is the House's power. They have ultimate leverage. The Senate will say everyone refusing to vote will lose their seat and the House will likely cave, so it will never happen, but it would be great if it did.
