While this seems like an exciting thing to celebrate..... It is their goal. You can't have stores open? Then the government needs to control your food.
I banned target back in two thousand and eight. I was a young single mother. Could hardly afford christmas. Paid a chunk on my target visa to shop. Target used the financial crisis as an excuse to lower my credit line after I paid that 'chunk. I canceled my card and have never been back to that store since.
Agree w/ you GG. This store with all its problems (credit cards compromised, pushing woke rainbow products to kids, etc) can RIP as far as I'm concerned. We can and will shop elsewhere. No shortage of businesses wanting to take our money for goods and services.
I moved to the Bay Area very briefly. So one day there was a school event where parents helped out. After the event ended, the kids went back to the classrooms and the parents had about 20-minutes to kill while we waited for school to let out. The parents were talking about the best stores to shoplift from. Target apparently didn't ever stop anyone, so it was their favorite shoplifting spot. That was the moment when I knew I had to move out of there.
