Cant muzzle the Speaker of the House
I keep seeing this, and I have no idea why people think this.
Why would the Speaker of the House be exempt from a gag order, especially if the gag order has nothing to do with their role as SOH?
Where is this idea coming from?
If I’m correct (may not be)… a speaker must SPEAK. There’s a law in place that says members of congress cannot be arrested to or from DC especially to vote. I’m I’m surmising is that these legal tricks have been played before. So there are immunity regulations in place to prevent gag orders or arrest of a congressman. Let me do a quick search brb.
They can say whatever they want on the 'house floor' without any legal repercussions. Think of Adam Schiff.

Can you imagine that Trump gets put in as Speaker, then uses that same rule Schiff has. The courts demand he stop & set the precedent that you cannot say whatever you want on the floor, and then Congress Members can finally be held accountable in a court of law.

Yes I do. It’s limited. He can’t make fun of the prosecutor or something to that effect.
But the prosecutor is under no such restraint and is free to continue poising the system against Trump by leaking bias, untrue, and inflammatory statement to the corrupt media.

U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan said Monday she will impose a limited gag order on former president Donald Trump in advance of his election interference trial, as requested by prosecutors.
The gag order, she said in a ruling issued from the bench after a hearing, will prohibit all parties from statements “publicly targeting” special counsel Jack Smith, his staff, her staff or “any other court personnel.” Statements about the families of those individuals are “absolutely prohibited as well.”
Even before the order was issued, Trump’s lawyer John Lauro said they would appeal any such order, as it would affect important free speech principles, particularly for a leading candidate for president.
Trump “can argue that this prosecution is politically motivated,” the judge said, but he cannot disparage the prosecutor by calling him a thug or “vilify and implicitly encourage violence against public servants who are simply doing their jobs.”
She is also barring Trump and all parties from making statements about witnesses in the case.
I thought democracy was "mob rule" and something we weren't for. At least, that's the argument I've gotten from people here whenever anyone dares to say America is a democracy. Before someone chimes in about it- Yes, I'm aware we are a Republic. A Republic is a form of Democracy.
But it seems as if President Trump is saying we live in a Democracy, and it's important that Democracy is upheld. 🤔
Technically, we are a Democratic Republic.
There is a big difference between mob rule and majority rule, and we do neither.
We have many of the facets of a democracy, including majority rule. However, we have underlying principles that the majority can never take away. A right to life and liberty, for example. That cannot be removed by the majority.
Mob rule sounds similar to majority rule, but it isn't. Mob rule does not require a majority of the population, only a group large enough to force/bully the rest into capitulation.
We are a constitutional Republic. Not a Democratic Republic.

And a Republic is a Representative Democracy. As opposed to a Direct Democracy.
Instead of everyone voting on each and every law we want to be passed (or opposed), we vote for people to represent us in making those laws. Such as governors, mayors, senators, and presidents, etc....
Actual democracies turn into tyrannies. It seems as though our constitutional republic did, also. We have some thinking to do. But getting rid of usury in our monetary system will go a long way toward diminishing the need for desperation and force.
Define an "actual" democracy for me, please, and tell me how it differs from a representative democracy.
