I mean, they alienated a lot of their consumerbase by going extremely politically woke. It really isn't just that simple that there was some lack of demand.

Megacorps are not about profit, they are tools to affect and direct society. They people that own them could care less about a few billion, like you would care about a few pennies. They also function as fronts to obscure those who are really pulling the strings on this globe. They are disposable like any other disguise. Think mafia pizza joints and night clubs.
