For a sense of Brotherhood, Sense of Power, Sense of belonging, Sense of Meaning, Sense of Duty, social networking etc. The list goes on and is probably different for each member. Not everyone is or was fortunate enough to grow up in the best circumstances. And so they turn to organizations like the Masons seeking something that in their life up to that point may have been denied to them
The same thing though could be said of many Churches and Christian denominations. What benefit is there to being a member? Of going through sometimes odd initiation rights (At least depending on the denomination). Do you get anything tangible for it? Nothing in the Bible requires you to attend a service every Sunday to be saved.
So why do people do such things? Again. They are seeking something. Purpose, Meaning, Community etc. The list goes on.
Indeed. That is also how the establishment abuses people, to grow their sycophant pool.
I guess I'm somewhat of an oddity. I've never cared about any of that - I just want to learn everything. I just float along, keeping my eyes open and mouth shut.
The Bible doesn't tell us to celebrate these Man created holidays, either, ESPECIALLY Christmas. The book of Jeremiah distinctly tells the people NOT to follow the ways of the pagans. Over and over God says this in Jeremiah. Matter of fact, churches celebrate on Sunday. SUN-Day. Sun worshiping.
I never want through wny initiation rights as s Christian. Churches that do that are probably run by these guys. I also don't do organized religion as it does look like this.

Same. Even as an 18 year old just beginning his red pill journey I inherently knew a fraternity was nothing more than faggotry run amok.
I got to church for truth and to spread truth. Same reason I go here.

Well to be fair, every day of the week is named after something unGodly

The only initiation I have ever been apart of or will be apart of was my baptism.
It took us awhile, but our former church sure opened our eyes to so much, and not good.
