Tablespoon of warm, not hot, olive oil mixed with a few drops of tea tree oil....put in the ear with a dropper and put in a cotton ball, lay down with affected ear up so the oil can drain down for about 3 mins. Turn to the other side to let the ear drain out.
I grew up with ear infections...this works pretty slick and won't hurt a kid. The olive oil helps break up the excess ear wax and the tea tree oil has antiviral, antiseptic, antibacterial, antimicrobial, fungicide, insecticide, balsamic, expectorant, and stimulant properties.
I can personally attest to using colloidal silver for ear infections. When I was a child, I had tubes in both ears, so my eardrums are very sensitive to rupture. Scuba diving didn't help and the membranes would tear as I got older while diving.
I tried colloidal silver once instead of going to the doctor to get otic antibiotics. It worked in a day or so- a few drops in the offending ear and pack with cotton, then went to bed. I followed the same protocol as if I was taking antibiotics and dosed again in the morning before work, for the next couple of days if I felt like I needed it or not..
It works, I have had to use colloidal silver a few times in the past few years. I wish I would have known that when I was a child.
Also might try Dr. Christopher's infection formula. It's herbal and comes in capsule form so you might have to mix it with something like yogurt or a smoothie to get it in a toddler, but it works really well.
I've used Soolantra (ivermectin) to successfully treat Rosacea (red face). Turns out mites eat the skin which then forms acne. No doctor nor skin specialist had any idea, tried everything you could think of before that. Fixed in 6 weeks after years of pain and suffering.
Thanks everyone. May try the silver- I use silver spray orally along with tons of vitamins, chiropractic care (needs more) and garlic drops. She is on 4th diagnosed infection so trying ivermectin before tubes.
I had terrible chronic ear infections as a child. Much later we figured out I have mast cell issues. Not sure if related, but now with H1/H2/H3 antihistamines I don’t get that or the frequent sore throat… If they also have signs of allergy issues, maybe look into protocols for mast cell issues.
Loading up on natural anti inflammatories is probably a good idea in general.
I had to have tubes iny ears as a young child in the mid 70s, it solved the constant excruciating pain. Might be something to look into.
I think some kids just have the issue.
Be watchful. After 3-4 tubes in right ear I developed a cholesteatoma(sp) in my 30s requiring ear surgery 4 times and loss of all hearing on that side after middle ear bones were dissolved bc of the cholesteatoma.
Oftentimes it is a side effect from vaccines and antibiotic use. You must restore healthy gut balance. I would also try ear drops with grapefruit seed extract
I had them constant, eventually even having them with pain no longer present. Extreme inflammation and allergies is what I assume caused them… Now they are okay now that I manage the allergies better as an adult, but the ringing remains :/
I hope Op hunts down something that helps, maybe their kiddo won’t have the long term affects I have to hear every night.

Hope this helps. Ear infections suck.
Try putting a few drops of colloidal silver in the ear four or 5 times a day. Colloidal silver is magic for sinus and ear infections.

It's a very rare human that does not have parasites so in addtion to treating the ears might as well de-worm eh?

Some people are prone to them, some are not.

i had them quite often as a youngster. narrow ear canals. Not so much anymore but they are extremely painful.
