I bought mine for 117 almost exactly ten years ago, now it's valued 250-300. I don't really care how well I did, the economic manipulations make me sick. 🤮
Well we get taxed on a value based on what the neighbors sell for so the taxes go up despite my efforts to live in an affordable home and area! I’m pissed.
The problem with real estate tax in general is that you never really own your home. My parents paid off the house they bought in 1960 in ten years. What difference did it make. My widowed Mom's taxes are thousands a year. Her mortgage would have been 120 had she refinanced over and over. It's all a scam.
Yea ur renting from whatever city and county u live in.
Doesn’t this just piss us all off? We own nothing already. Try driving without paying the license tag fee. It is my hope, against the evidence of my eyes, that some kind of reset would bless all of us that have lived in slavery our entire lives.
I understand that roads, fire, police, schools, and municipalities are constantly needing to be financed
I understand unemployment and caring for the disabled and elderly. I am not without compassion
But feeding parasites and rewarding illegals for breeding seems stupid
Trump seems to think this could have all been done with trade tariffs. So many things they told us were impossible - like energy independence - are very, very doable.
If you don't have kids going to school in the county, your taxes should be minimal and the cost should be set in stone, not go up hundreds each and every year you live in the home
Also, we have a "city tax" added onto our regular taxes. We pay for a shit hole city, Camden NJ, because it's in our county and it's entirely dependent on outside money to even exist. I kid you not
And my insurance guy just let me know my homeowners premium going up $1200 this year because we originally insured our house for 350,000 replacement value but now replacement value is like 600,000. Taxes up another $2000 from just 5 years ago and we haven’t changed/upgraded/additions nothing. Not sure how much more I can take - everyone’s fucking hands are out wanting more but I am making less. Klaus will get our homes one way or another - this inflation scam probably the best means to their end. Fuck em all.
And let's not forget what else is on the ballots every year.
How many school and community referendums are on ballots each year throughout the country? Some are hundreds of millions each! Multiply that nationwide. There are billions of dollars of referendums on ballots each year.
How are they paid for? Real estate taxes.
It's not just politicians on ballots, it's billions of dollars.
What if, say, a Dominion representative could guarantee referendums pass if their systems are used?
I always wondered why Dominion sued Lindell and Powell for BILLIONS.
I really think referendums are the reason why.
That's a really good point
In the summer of 2019, the houses in one of the subs I contract in started at 350k and went up to 550k. They now start at 550 and go to 750k. Exact same houses. Its no wonder that these guys have only built 6 this year and 4 of those sit unsold. Usually they are sold before they even break ground.
Another builder of mine has houses that start around 250 or 300 that 15 years ago were starter homes you could have built for 125 or so. But the price point is still right for this market and he has built 60 or 70 this year. Thank God for this guy or I wouldnt have had much work this summer. As it is I struggled to get a pared down crew 40 hours every week. Most summers I have double the crew size and 60 hours arent enough to keep up.
200-810 Sold, found a big fixer upper, mortgage free
i just bought the place i live for 225 a year ago (va loan). supposedly it's worth over 300 now
