Here, you can borrow mine!
As a child from extreme chaotic home, I learned early to despise profanity, especially the Lordโs name in vain. Partly this was due to my hearing both all of the time in the form of yelling and screaming between my parents, and I think more so due to my having accepted Jesus as my Saviour at the ripe old age of five.
Though I wandered my own way and sinned many times, I still clung to Him in faith.
So, I came up with my own alternatives to cursing. Feel free to borrow mine;
1)Flippin Fruitcakes!
2)Flyin Poopsicles!
3)(made up by my 8yr old Granddaughter)
Oh Crapdump!

That's a great start! We should also strive to calm our temperaments and become gentle as lambs, so we won't need to curse, with "bad words" or made-up bad words because the intention behind it reminds essentially the same. Oftentimes it helps to laugh! Instead of vocalizing your frustration when you drop something, laugh at yourself a bit and you'll feel better in an instant.

Well said sis. It's all about our heart. We can lie to ourselves however we can't lie to Jesus. Changing the word doesn't change our heart posture. We must seek to live in a state of his peace :)
this is what I strive for BUT I have to date failed every single attempt to take this approach. I am trying and now realize I fail because I am incapable of succeeding without God's help and therefore I need to pray for His help. Thanks for the talk!! ๐
When I find myself about to use the Lord's name in vain, I usually say GOD.......... bless America!
5?! That's awesome. Someday I'd love to hear the testimony of your little 5 year old self accepting Jesus.

I got in the habit of saying Mother Father
"Crapdump" is pretty good.
Fluffing words is disingenuous. Say it for real or dont. "God Bless You" used by southerners instead of F-ck Y0u is the same way. More a sin than saying F-U to start.
I think youโre referring to
Bless your heart ๐๐คฃ
Most of the times, "Bless your heart", means just that... blessings because you are experiencing difficulties.
I try to say ...Crickey!
Thats a classic for sure.
