Got a video from a buddy that's stationed in Astugi, which is just outside of Tokyo; it's only a 2.5 Mag where he was, but it got his attention. Hopefully no Tidal Wave.
Fortunately, Japan isn't DIVERSE, so they don't have to worry about the Cultural Enrichment that follows any natural disaster from that crowd.
Yeah, I'm fine. It didn't even knock my Starship Enterprise off of my shelf. It was a mag 4 where I live, but we are far enough away from major fault lines that we just get rattled every now and then.
An eyewitness captured scenes in a train station in Japan’s Kanazawa city on Monday January 1 after a massive earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.6 hit central Japan. In the video, items were seen falling off shelves in a store inside the station as people attempted to take cover, while others ran out of the station with luggages in tow. The video also showed water leaking from the ceiling of the station.
A tsunami around one metre (3.3 feet) high struck parts of the west coast along the Sea of Japan, with a larger wave expected, public broadcaster NHK reported. The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued tsunami warnings for the coastal prefectures of Ishikawa, Niigata and Toyama.
Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority said no irregularities have been confirmed at nuclear power plants along the Sea of Japan, including five active reactors at Kansai Electric Power’s Ohi and Takahama plants in Fukui Prefecture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmywIBGP_Us
Timing seems a bit odd. nearly on-the-dot midnight NYE 2023 for West Continental U.S., around 4pm Jan. 1 JP time? What treaties/trade-policies did they sign or rebuff recently?
Ok this weirds me out. I had one long dream about a Tsunami last night. Like it just kept going and going and going. Looking for higher ground. Taking shelter on the top floor of an old church. Like one insanely long dream about this one thing. Then I wake up to this.
WOW WTFU people. Just look at the shot of people in the street. Middle far right and tell me it is not photo shopped. BUT maybe you would just sit nonchalantly next to a huge crack in the road recently caused by an earthquake!
I have some family out there now. Haven’t heard from them 🙏🏻
Doesn't seem serious.
No injuries reported.
Tsunami threat from Japan earthquake has 'largely passed': US agency.
Still good to keep an eye out though. Earthquakes can sometimes trigger larger earthquakes. There were 21 earthquakes last night in Japan over 4.0.

thanks for the info fren
Yes, earthquakes can trigger other earthquakes. I haven't looked to see if that quake was considered to be in the ring of fire.

u/stevethefish76 are you & your family okay? Prayers going out for everyone in Japan.

So glad to hear that my friend. If the Enterprise falls, the I assume your entire federation is in trouble then 🤣

Japan needs Jesus.
This quake was not deep, it was surface.

That said, any chance this is mainly comms?

Have you ever lived through a large EQ? It's a traumatic event, so the person may look nonchalant, but inside they're freaking out.
