End of the holiday rush of packages, happens every year.
I am seeing a trend here. Can’t be good for the January jobs number.
I thought that too, but I saw that these companies that are laying off all these people are also hiring a ton too.
The economic data from the Buy-din regime is manipulated and/or fake... shocking, right? The jobs and other numbers are about as accurate as the stuff released by the CCP regarding China's economy.
It is always inflated and then corrected downward a few months later, but nobody notices that. During President Trump's term, it was exactly the opposite - reported low and later always revised upward.
Secondary sources of data are much more accurate. The decline in demand for shipping and transportation is a clear indication of a corresponding decline in demand for goods and services, and an overall decrease in economic activity.
The USPS postal service rate has been extremely competitive since Oct/Nov of last year and took almost 80% of UPS businesses for Amazon packages. USPS got rid of their first class and replaced it with ground advantage and the price is at least $2 cheaper than UPS. Fedex is the most expensive so I'm not sure how long they will last either.

That seems pretty high. How far is that from the norm?
We are headed for a big depression. While Governments are overloaded with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion hires. The Canadian Federal payroll grew huge in size under Trudeau's Liberal government.
Seems Amazon has claimed another victim!
They always lay off after Christmas though…
Not this bad though, normally it's 5-7000.
Username checks out.
And Yellow Freight went out of business not long ago. Largest freight company in the US.
3rd largest, but still significant
I stand corrected. Thanks
Yeah all I can say about UPS is that I absolutely hate that any Tom, Dick, and Harry delivers a lot their packages. So many of us in our neighborhood have had packages delivered to the wrong address or not delivered at all. And then, UPS using the USPS? That's been another disaster. It's brought down the service quality we used to expect from a UPS delivery.
Greeeaaattttt...I have a delivery scheduled...allegedly for tomorrow...
Didn’t have a choice but to use ups.
Shit.
