Dan Patrick was probably just taking care of any state business the governor had to attend to. He wouldn't go against what Abbott wants while only acting governor - it's a caretaker. Texas wants to get rid of that piece of the constitution because it doesn't mean anything anymore. The governor can still conduct state business if he is out of state - that rule was in since the 1800s and is way past due for being repealed.
If a president is out of the country he is still the president. Same for governors. The only reason to keep it is the acting governor gets a fat payoff each day he is acting governor.
I am not rooting for this because I've seen video footage that not more than half a mile away there are multiple gates and openings in the wall where anyone can walk into the US, and no one is guarding them at all. The border is WIDE OPEN just a half mile way. You could slow jog there in 5 minutes from Eagle Pass. So Eagle Pass is a FAKE situation being used, probably to start what you know the globalist crims want: civil war. Don't support this, don't buy in until we know for a fact this is not bullshit.

I was right. Here is a google maps link directly to the flag area. You can zoom out and see the solar panels like can be seen in the original photo. There are 2 flags there in the 2 concrete squares connected by a sidewalk. The Texas Military Department is on Camp Mabry in Austin.
