Let me see. They will now come up with an 'Infrastructure bill' because we need to rebuild the bridge and then check all the bridges in the country (more dollars for that!)... Then just like that the money disappears into their pockets again. Same old MO - just like shovel ready jobs.
It's sad that most people don't realize that the govt doesn't have any money, it's our money, taxpayer money that the govt spends like a drunken sailor. Not only that, it spends money we don't have, just adding it to our debt.
So expect it to be finished weeks late. And several million over budget minimum probably closer to a few hundred million if not billion over. From graft, incompetence and corruption
Well, our governor, Wes (Less) Moore, would want to tax just Marylanders only-as he is taxing us out of our money more and more frequently. Larry Hogan was bad, but not as bad on taxing us. Maryland should be financially secure enough to build the bridge using just our funds, but we are being run by Democrats/Commies so we all know how that goes.
Per Maritime Law, the ship owner and charterers are limited in the amount of their liability. In the United States, the limit, except as to claims for personal injury and wrongful death, is the value of the ship and the earnings of the voyage on which it was engaged at the time of the casualty.
The basic condition is that the party asserting it must be free from "privity or knowledge" in the words of the United States statute. The ship owner is entitled to limit his liability for the negligence of the master or crew, but not for his own personal negligence or the decisions of management personnel.
In other words... what is the value of that ship and cargo?
Since the cargo was containers full of trash... virtually zero value.
The ship may be worth $10 Million to $20 Million.
The bridge will likely cost over $1.5 Billion to replace.

They have insurance for things like this.
Maybe the insurance company figured it's cheeper to buy a few dozen of hunters paintings.
So if the bridge would legitimately cost $1b to rebuild, they’ll award a $5b contract to a contractor(s) who then “donate” $3b to Dem campaign funds.
For reference, see Newsom’s high-speed rail project, or the infamous thousand dollar hammers, etc.

You know if he hadn't triggered the Infrastructure money away on every BS.....
We're going to pay for the bridge to be rebuilt, buy a Chinese company no doubt, with money borrowed from China.
Just have some Mexicans swim across the harbor, and the rest of the people could walk across on their sludge.

There are oligarchs in Ukraine who desperately need that money!

So once again We The People will get fucked.....welcome to the USA.
Reminds me of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bayou_Canot_rail_accident which was a subject of a Forensics File episode.
It’s called money, laundering
Sure he has a kickback coming
That must mean he regularly gets kids delivered across it.
What the f—- do our tax dollars have to do with this?? Whoever’s fault this is needs to be held liable. We need to watch where those dollars go!
