Baby powder contains a soft mineral called talc (or talcum), which is a naturally occurring very light, easily powdered clay rock (like a soap stone).
Powdered talc is a fine white powder made from clay rock. Unfortunately, both talc and asbestos often occur in deposits next to each other, and during the mining process talc could pick up and carry asbestos.
The process is supposed to separate the two, and they do test the talc for any signs of asbestos. However, sometimes contamination happens.

Almost every women’s make up has talc in it. Unless otherwise specified, if it’s a mineral based make up, it doesn’t have. Why do I know this? Because make up with Tal in it makes me allergic. so I don’t purchase it if it says on the packaging

Corn starch baby powder obviously wouldn't contain any asbestos. Talcum Powder might.
