"Hate" is not inherently bad or evil. The Bible says to HATE what is evil, and to cling to what is good. Evil NEEDS you to tolerate it in order for it to flourish. "Hate" speech laws essentially criminalize a person's ATTITUDE toward the hated thing, which necessarily includes ALL of their thoughts and feelings that pertain to that thing, without any question of whether or not their hatred is justified.
NOBODY on this earth is above reproach, nobody on this earth has a right to not be hated, to not be criticized, to not be offended or insulted.
"Hate" speech laws are designed to stifle free thought, and free public discourse. Without free thought, the truth cannot be discerned, and without free public discourse, the truth cannot be discovered. If the truth cannot be discovered, evil cannot be destroyed.
