The Simpsons strikes again. Season 3 Episode 8 "Lisa's Pony." In the very first minute or two they have a scene where Homer is dreaming. It is about The Dawn of Man. It shows one of these monoliths and ape like humans suddenly inventing the wheel, making fire, and using bones as tools.
