It's the ultimate sign of brainwashing.
When you need to include an identity or preamble. Usually in cases like the op a lie immediately follows. I'm convinced most of these post are not organic.
You see a million of these posts on reddit everytime they're trying to push gun control: "I was a marine in the army. Why do civilizations need weapons of war, like the ar-preeteen? When I was in Afghanistan my ar-sweet16 punched watercooler sized holes in tanks."
You see this with a lot of people to afraid to express their real opinion in a group think setting. "I'm still a member of the cult, but I disagree with cult law #538048, so please don't kill me or kick me out of the cult."

Yup, by playing any political game as a business you are going to inevitably piss off both sides when you can simply shut up and sell your product.
At this point, I they clearly don’t care about P&L when they decide to play, nor that their masters do - the masters want to break the economy, the company operators are blackmailed and comply, and the company is broken.
We lose whether we accept it or not. It’s why there needs to be a parallel economy, and “the next independent corporation down the road” doesn’t count because they just get bought out.
It’s like we need to use a whole other structural foundation.
However millions of normal people will shop there.
