But Trump has nothing to worry about with the prosecutions. If the scotus decides to rule against, it would only affect the other presidents - the criminal ones.
I was thinking the same way. But what if Trump is thinking more about the future. He is going to need all the authority possible when he gets back in office. Like his post says, "the President could not function" without it. "Strong Immunity so proper decisions could be made"
The way the white hats operate is strictly by the letter of the law.
If Trump has to stoop to shady means by which he might get reasonably prosecuted, then he wouldn't be doing it the white hat way.
Trump has nothing to fear from reasonably applied laws
and doesn't need immunity to drain the swamp, which is mostly in motion already.
In addition, we NEED Trump to lose this one, that enables going after the previous presidents for their treachery.
All that ruling does is determine how badly they have to fuck him on the sentencing on his New York conviction. If they won't get to go after him for other things they'll just have to toss the book harder at him there.
So, SCOTUS has affirmed immunity for “official acts” . Now I’m pretty sure that we have to wait for lower courts to determine what “official acts”are. One step in the right direction.
What do you mean by”in favor of Trump “? I think that they will rule that for “official duties “ immunity stands but acts that are outside of official duties are not covered. Trump would be protected but others may not. (Biden, Obama, Bush, Clinton)

You are right, I didn't think of it that way. Would be interesting to see this ruling, because the Lefties are putting a lot of hope on this one.
I do not know. The SC has made some sketchy decisions and I worry most about Roberts and Barret.
Amy us a forever problem now ..

He doesn't need immunity to beat those lame charges. 6th amendment covers the unanimity case quite well

I may have worded my title inappropriately; Trump is advocating for Presidential immunity, I think they will give Trump the tools he needs.
