In this clip and many others, it is clear that the sniper changed his aim to the direction of the gunshots. It is a bogus claim that the sniper was aimed at the shooter prior to the first shots.
Which would still take a lot less time to do for a skilled counter-sniper, than the slow job these guys put on by allowing at least 3 to 5 shots fired at President Trump before getting on target.
You are clearly not experienced at shooting. A shooter who takes aim can fire multiple shots in 1-2 seconds. Another who hears the gunshots will take at minimum one or two seconds to identify the location of the shots then change aim and fire.
This entire exchange took place in less than 5 seconds from first shot to return fire ended. I'm guessing just over 3 seconds before the first sniper shot hit the shooter. Now take your ass out to a range and try to figure out how it could have ended sooner.

I'm a casual-normie. But it sounds like this guys only had training but never had real experience being in a fire-fight.
Definitely an inside job. They denied a request for more security for him, then failed to secure the damned place, then waited until the guy repeatedly fired before putting him down. It was all a plan to take him out, but it was God's grace that saved him.
No, their SOP would be identify and eliminate the threat. There could be a few seconds delay but they would have trained like shoot no shoot scenarios like we did. But it's not a quick draw situation. There will be a short delay. The real question remains as to how that roof wasn't occupied by a friendly shooter amd if there weren't enough secured by no DDM personnel.

Back in the 80's I was part of a military unit that provided protection to the V-Corps Commander in Germany. At that time, it was Colin Powell. I am quite well versed in how to secure locations, and how to keep your package alive.
He has a spotter, have you ever done DDM work? Then reaction is never instant. Spotter sees the target, tells the guy on the gun, even if he's on his scope he has to aquire the target as fast as possible. Alot can happen in 5 seconds.
