edit: Also, we never saw Trump look like he was hit with a bullet to his torso, unless it was fired through the podium skirt while he was ducked down before SS go there. AND, there is no loud "bang" in the audio that would have represented an up close gunshot. So, I'm skeptical about the pistol.
It looks like part of an agent’s jacket. The color around this “hole” is not the same as Trump’s jacket. A higher-res photo would be helpful, but even zooming in a bit on this one is clear enough to see a difference.
If he was hit by a bullet in the chest that was stopped by body armor, I think that would have knocked the wind out of him, and he'd be more injured from the gut-punch and bruising than from the nick on his ear.

Not a bullet hole, it's a drop of blood, seen in another photo too. People complained he had no blood on his clothes, now they complain when he does.
This…. also a standard round nose or hollowpoint wouldn’t make that clean of a hole….We’re they shooting wadcutters? C’mon.

I think that spot is very likely blood.
I thought it was blood too from other photos on various websites.

It's very clearly a shadow in the agents shoulder sleeve caused by the folded fabric when you raise your arm in a suit jacket.
