Yes! I caught that! He didn’t answer the question, but he did confirm 8 cartridges on “the roof”. Didn’t confirm 8 fired by Crooks gun. Didn’t confirm which roof he was referring to.

Was that cartridges, or casings? There is a wee difference. Also, were they all of the same calbre? We need to see the evidence bags.
Only there are three distinctly different audio signatures. One of them is assumed to be the 'final' shot that is probably the counter-sniper.
That leaves two other guns. Another counter-sniper? Another shooter?
So were the 'cartridges' all for one gun?
Was there a mixture of 'live' and 'spent' ammunition?

So Wray is saying that the shooter squeezed off 8 shots before the snipers decided to drop him?

He is either lying to play down the multiple shooters reality or telling us THEY placed 8 shell casings on the roof to play down the multiple shooters reality.
Either way, the official record is an obvious lie.
I’ve heard the audio as described by an expert, and clearly Crooks fired the first 3 from his position, and almost immediately after, 5 shots were fired from a different position. You can hear the reports and supersonic cracks are interrupted by echoes, meaning there was a metal structure in-between the 2nd shooter and the stage. Crooks was elevated with zero structures between him and the stage. Whoever got to Crooks first after he was killed, planted the extra 5 casings.
