I think you are gas lighting here. I just typed into google assassination attempt on Trump and got a ton of stuff including WIKI which surprising is telling it all like it is.
They are talking about autocomplete options that pop up.
If you type the full phrase and search things still come up. If they didn't it would be too obvious. Removing it on autocomplete is just one of their million subtle tricks.
If they scrubbed things from Google, try Russia's version in English. It's called yandex.com, and I can often find links on there that have been scrubbed from US search engines.
Ignore what you saw with your eyes and ears There wasn't anything that happened recently. This is all hogwash by terrorists linked to Russia. Now, how are we to win this war against EastAsia--I mean, Russia? My grandparents and grand children both died fighting this threat to our very way of life from our eternal enemies!

I never click on those suggestions. I always finish entering in my search query just to spite them.

DuckDuckGo uses google. It's no longer a preferred search engine. Sad when we have to look at Yandex and others to get facts.

If you completely spell out Trump then yes, of course you will get links to Trump
The point being shown here is that autocomplete suggests a list of links about Truman, and not Trump, once the “tr” is typed.
They're preventing auto complete from referencing Trump. The fact that TRuman is the first suggestion is farcical.
