I usually tip in cash, and tell the server it is a gift, not a tip, as a gift it is not taxable.
That's ok, better than sending it to Ukraine...
But how will Hunter pay for his blow and hookers?
It was never theirs to collect in the first place, so now they project the lack of an illegal means of taxing, as a 'cost'? A cost to whom? At the moment the tax is a cost to the people working at the coal-face. Relieving them of that cost would benefit them infinitely more than the stupid treasury.
Tips are gifts from grateful customers. If a waitron (LOL genderless language, just to trigger) is a lovely person and efficient, then they deserve more than an sullen, grumpy, sloppy one. So, by taxing tips, we are now basically taxing the value of communication and excellent service skills? In other words, the better a person is at their job, the more the grabbers will tax them.
Conversely, the practice of tip-taxation arguably incentivises bad service, as less tax will be paid if one collects less. A recipe for laziness if one thinks about it.
It's a scandal. Imagine going after taxing gifts. Oh wait.
Just to add a cherry on top: the service industry pays a dismal wage. This means that tips encourage staff to perform well and render efficient service to the customers themselves, despite what they would otherwise be paid. What is one to do about that? The customers choose who they want to be served by, thereby providing valuable information: These people are well-tipped - in other words: Keep them if you want the business to succeed. Perhaps they need a raise as well, so that the government can get some. Or perhaps not. You choose.
Tips should not be taxed. end of.
Many places also share their tips among all the staff. This needs to stop as well.
I know right? I was fired once, for not pooling my room service tips with others. And really, I was so busy, that I stuffed the bills in my pocket and continued working, running up and down elevators in an extremely busy Hotel. My upbringing had made me all smiles and helpfulness, and patrons requested me by name, but apparently, that was cheating, acording to my very stupid boss.
That war in Ukraine gets more money than waitresses.
Simple. Just blow 250 billion less.

Only criminals would frame not stealing your money as the thief losing money.
Just keep with the fact that Everything CBS (MSM) says is a criminal lie and it will be clear.
Yep they've been raping the taxpayers long enough
Is this something that Trump could do on his own with an EO, or is it something that Congress would have to approve?
But that's $250 billion that could be sent to Ukraine.
They mean could put 250 billion in the workers pockets. That's good news.
There would have to be 1.25 trillion $$$ or more of tips to cost 250 billion. I think somebody is delusional.
If we cut out money to Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan, and deport the wetbacks and enforce the border, will it make up for the loss in revenue? Simple business decisions.
