What was the so-called "incident" at Arlington Cemetery?
🧐 Research Wanted 🤔
I watched the placing of a wreath at Arlington and it was a solemn occasion. So what "incident" is the MSM and lefties talking about,
Oh some bullshit about not having permission to take video of the event.
Well that hardly constitutes an "incident"... more like a non-incident.
Welcome to the circus that is the liberal news cycle.
Trump had written permission,
The families asked DJT to take photos with them at the gravesites of their loved ones. Media accused him of staging the photos for self promotion.
Do a Google search on this. You will find a bunch of articles on it, most of them unfavorable to Trump. But here's my take:
The famous Arlington military cemetery requires permission to arrive, permission for number in party, restricts photography 'not allowed for political purposes, but OK for personal,' etc., and many other such rules as it receives hundreds of visits annually and they must be managed to protect the facility.
The Afghanistan departure-related Gold Star families who came to memorialize the 3-yr anniversary of their family members' deaths had invited Trump and his photographer to come and mark the moment. Trump agreed to do so. All of them said they had reached out to Joe and Kamala many times over the past 3 years for acknowledgment and had received no response each time.
Prior to scheduling the visit, the families had to file the proper paperwork to arrive together, include Pres. Trump & have a professional photographer (Trump's) memorialize the moment. Arlington gave them pushback and eventually relented and allowed it. (Was the person who works there an anti-Trumper?)
When they all arrived, a person on duty refused to allow Trump's team and photographer through, claiming rules not followed. They had to employ Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (?) who finessed the situation and allowed the memorial to proceed.
When the Gold Star families posted images of the wreath ceremony, the Left got all riled up, saying it was a photo op for Trump and was 'political' and thus should not have been allowed.
The major shocker about this memorial is that the attendees should have included Joe Biden or Kamala Harris. Plus Arlington National shouldn't have been kicking and screaming in order to force said memorial down their collective throat. Finally, ti shouldn't have taken an effort by the House Speaker to force the memorial to proceed.
THIS! ☝️👏
CiC can take whatever video he feels like.🫡
Trump was looking too favorable.

“I commend President Trump for accepting the invitation of the Gold Star families to join them at Arlington National Cemetery to honor their loved ones who died during the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan,” Cotton said in a statement. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2024/08/30/gop-lawmakers-defend-trump-arlington-cemetery-visit/ “The families had every right to invite whomever they wanted to commemorate this solemn anniversary, just as President Trump and his aides had every right to accept their invitation; neither the families nor President Trump violated cemetery regulations or policies. The real scandal here isn’t that the families invited President Trump or that he accepted their invitation, and it’s not even that political apparatchiks working for the incompetent secretary of the Army disrespected the wishes of these Gold Star families. The real scandal is that Kamala Harris and Joe Biden condemned thirteen brave American troops to death and didn’t even have the decency to call or meet with the Gold Star families to express their condolences. Kamala Harris should never be our military’s commander-in-chief.”
