According to the 'Hadith' (Islam's book of Revelation) Jesus is not the Messiah but comes to destroy the
Al-Masih ad-Dajjal the Islamic 'anti-messiah' then this Islamic Jesus/Issa will unite the world to the Muslim faith by whatever means necessary. Then the Mahdi will rule the world. Oh, the Dajjal has only one eye, does that bring something to mind?
I had heard a pastor say that the Christians messiah is Islam's antichrist... and vice versa... so Islam's messiah is the Christians antichrist. Is that what you are saying here?
The book of Daniel reveals the anti-christ (King of the North, Ruler of the Syrian division of Alexander's Empire) comes from the middle East in the area of the old Assyrian Empire. Isa.124calls him the Assyrian: Isaiah 14:25
I will crush the Assyrian in my land; on my mountains I will trample him down. His yoke will be taken from my people, and his burden removed from their shoulders. " The Mahdi (12th Imam) is very similar to 'Beast' Rev. 13 & Issa/false Jesus is similar to the 'False prophet. It would take hours to lay it out, but I hope this helps.
The name Issa is derived from the name of Esau, Jacob's brother & founder of Edom. Romans 9 :13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
Malachi :2 “Wasn’t Esau Jacob’s brother?” declares the Lord. “I loved Jacob, :3 but Esau I hated.
That's only one of the possible explanations brought forth by scholars on this topic (
see e.g.: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isa_(name) ).
Also the name "Isa" is used by many Middle Eastern Christians themselves to refer to Jesus, next to "Yeshua", "Yasu", etc.
Yes as someone with spiritual ties to Arab Christians, I ask people to please anchor the claims like “Allah is not the Christian God” to the practice of actual Arabic-speaking Christians. There’s a lot of junky information out there that doesn’t even start from a knowledgeable foundation. You can look up Bible verses you know, listen to them in Arabic, see them transliterated, and save yourself embarrassment and save others from misinformation.
My friend, I fully agree that Islam is a false religion. I would sooner die than confess its false teachings. I’m an Orthodox Christian who confesses one God in the three Persons of the Holy Trinity and confesses Jesus Christ as fully God and fully man.
My point is that my brothers in Christ who worship in Arabic use the word Allah to refer to God, because that is the word for God in Arabic!
We know that the God of the Bible is Allah when we’re speaking in Arabic, because that’s how you say God in Arabic! The god confessed by Muslims is false, but just as in English, the presence of false religions that refer to “God” doesn’t mean that right-believing Christians are forbidden to use the word “God” to refer to the true God!
Orthodox Christians around the world sing the Trisagion Hymn before the reading of the Epistle and Gospel during the Divine Liturgy (the Sunday morning worship service). It is Trinitarian. I myself have been the chanter singing this in these three languages, as is done in Arabic speaking Orthodox churches in the US. We’re saying the EXACT same thing in all three.
Arabic:
قدوسٌ الله ،
قدوسٌ القوي ،
قدوسٌ الذي لا يموت إرحمنا
Quduson Allah,
Quduson il-qawi,
Quduson alladi,
La ya mut irhamna.
English:
Holy God,
Holy Mighty,
Holy Immortal,
have mercy on us.
You’re welcome, and I forgive you! It’s not easy being an Arab Christian in America (I am not one but was in a bilingual parish for a few years). American-born Christians often don’t realize that such a thing exists, which causes a lot of confusion with things like this and the issue of Palestine.
There are friends and enemies of humankind in all three Abrahamic religions. Yes there are important doctrinal differences (!). But that’s a very different issue than whether people have love for their fellow man.
In the comments of this Telegram post you can see a video of RC monastics who interacted with Hezbollah and were very favorably impressed, had no problems with them. I’m aware of other faith communities that feel similarly. https://t.me/c/1701699479/425283
If Christians would set on a journey to follow the lost years of Jesus Christ, they would know that Saint Issa is the name other religions give to him. I think its okay that other religions speak of the Christians savior by other names. I believe that no one religion has all the truth but the truth can be found in learning about all religions and ancient texts. I believe the ancient texts before the christian bible any day especially after learning that King James 1 also wrote the book of demonology. Don't tell me that he also wrote a book out of the goodness of his heart about christianity... without the intent to enslave his people.
I agree 100% with you about studying other sacred texts to gain more insight. On this website you can find almost all sacred texts: https://sacred-texts.com/
However, i think that demonology (the study of demons) was not per se studied by evil people, but primarily by the heroes and saints who fought against demons, i.e. against psychopaths and their ilk, in order to know their enemy.
Today this ancient study of demonology would be called "psychopathology" (study of the sick minds) and "ponerology" (study of evil).

Symbolism.... They just can't fuckin help it. Kek.

Why would Israel kill a Muslim espousing Christian ideas?
It is not a Christian idea, don't be fooled.
Try playing a game of telephone for 2000 years with billions of people.
Just how close are "Christian" ideals to Jesus's teachings?
A good course 'Apologetics' would help.
Yeah but there is a big difference in what they believe and what we believe!
