Dont get complacent cause its in the Atlantic. These storms almost always move north east to northwest from the Atlantic. I find it odd that these are moving opposite to that, but now that its in the Atlantic ot could strengthen and begin a more normal track north-northwesterly

Pretty funny that we have to rely on aljazeera for the truth! US media STILL reporting it as a Cat 3 landfall! I have reviewed available wind data from the area and can't find any that comes close to even Cat 2, but there aren't wind gages, that I know of, right on the beach where it came on shore. However, the Sarasota airport, close to where it came onshore, only shows max sustained winds of 40 mph! Max surge I have found was at Ft. Myers, at 6 feet, but again, that was pretty far south of eye. A gage on the coast at St. Pete beach had max sustained winds of about 65 mph; well north of the eye.
Al Jazeera is also reporting it as Cat 3 landfall
Good point. Some of the tornados did more damage.
I did find some home weather stations where the eye passed the coast, and the lowest air pressure was consistent with Cat 3, but there is not necessarily a one-one correlation between pressure and wind.

OUR GOD is faithful. Everyone I know including my son in sarasota got very minimal damage if any. I lost a couple pieces of siding I'm told by my neighbors. I slept in my camper at my daughters on the east coast and slept through the entire thing. No serious damage here either. I'm bragging on God who I know took care of His people. The flooding on the west coast was even minimal. The surge was only 5 feet in sarasota according to local reports. Praise God in the name of Jesus Christ.

Can you imagine the deep states terror as their cat 5 work sits and rotates for HOURS. They made predictions that it would hit land fall at a certain time and day but did not. Then when it finally starts moving toward Florida coast and is predicted to increase in strength but does not. Decreases and predicted Cat 1 by the time it leaves the state?. Mara Largo was a target but No! It escapes again? Gods hand! Need we say more?
This was my thought yesterday. They wanted it to rest on Mar-a-Lago. NOPE! God has other plans. I’m so grateful that people were praying and that God took out the deep state. Boom.💥
I think the current running theory is that they don't make them per se, but that they enhance and steer them. This one looks like they failed. I haven't heard any death stories yet and it's already out to sea.
He weakened it and His will was done. May He get the glory and praise for it.

God's grace was poured in my area. I live near the space center and I'm on a deep water canal. No flooding, no damage and the power was still on. We were told a 3-5 ft wind surge was going to happen... nothing. Thank you Lord, prayers heard.
